You will build essential skills and knowledge that boost your confidence, sharpen your performance, and set you up for long-term success in IPSC competition. Even those who have been competing a while, we can guarantee you will find the course productive and informative.
This course is perfect for those who’ve completed their UKPSA Safety Course, or for regular competitors of any match Grade.
The Silver tier training is available in IPSC Shotgun, Mini Rifle and Long Barrelled Pistol.
Online Theory Session
What You will Cover:
- Applying the IPSC rule book in real match scenarios.
- Key safety refreshers.
- Scoring systems, including strategies for disappearing targets.
- Ammunition and equipment checks what you need to know.
- Differences in Ammunition types.
- Choosing the most efficient range equipment and clothing.
- Dryfire Practice — Theory and structure.
- Basics of stage craft and planning.
- Learning tools and resources to support your progress.
Practical Range Application
What You will Cover:
- Appropriate Firearm Selection
- Assessment for fitting of firearm.
- Firearm maintenance. Before, during, and after matches.
- Instruction of loading techniques.
- Hands-on instruction with optional extras.
- Stance and mount development.
- Understanding ammunition reaction at distances.
- Starting drills and instruction on economical movement.
- Ammunition at distances & No shoots.
- Target transitions and stage movement
- Practical stage craft and planning sessions.
- IPSC stages run at the start and end of the day to track and showcase your improvement.
Course Details & Pre Requisites
- Maximum 6 Participants per Instructor.
- Online learning presentation.
- One full day dedicated range time.
- Firearms and Ammunition available upon request (Section 21 Declaration must be signed)
- IPSC Shotgun, .22 Mini rifle or LBP / LBR available.
- Course cost - Area dependant.
- Must have completed Appropriate firearm safety course (UKPSA Safety course / NRA Safe shooter card)
- Can be a combined weekend with UKPSA Safety course. Details available upon request.
